The AIMS Collaborative Care Training for Behavioral Health Care Managers is a 9-hour interactive training that provides an overview of CoCM and an in-depth review of the Behavioral Health Care Manager (BHCM) role. It emphasizes a BHCM's responsibilities around identifying and engaging patients in care, providing measurement-based treatment to target care, managing an active caseload of patients, and communicating with a team of providers, including Primary Care Providers and Psychiatric Consultants.
The training is available for BHCMs working with patients across the lifespan. Trainees will choose from three training pathway options:
- For BHCMs working with pediatric patient populations
- For BHCMs working with adult patient populations
- For BHCMs working with a combination of pediatric and adult patients, titled: ‘across the lifespan’

Continuing Education

The AIMS Center at the University of Washington is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education (CE) for psychologists. The AIMS Center maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
CE credits can be used by most licensed mental health providers, including psychologists, nurses, clinical social workers, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists. Clinicians should check their specific state requirements to confirm that these credits apply to them.
The AIMS Collaborative Care Training for Behavioral Health Care Manager Support Staff is a 4-hour interactive training for behavioral health medical assistants, care coordinators, patient navigators, and others that support licensed or license-track behavioral health providers functioning as Behavioral Health Care Managers (BHCMs) in a Collaborative Care program. The training is available for BHCMs working across the lifespan.
