Primary Care Provider Training

Effective Collaborative Care is a team of providers working together on a single treatment plan. Its success relies on each member of the treatment team understanding their role and having the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill that role.

The American Psychiatric Association (APA) offers a FREE training that will prepare Primary Care Providers (PCPs) for success in their role. This training is part of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPI).

What is Included in this Training?

2 hours of self-paced content. 
Applying the Integrated Care Approach: Skills for the PCP

2 Continuing Medical Education Units (CMEs)
Participants who wish to earn CMEs must complete all sections of the course including the evaluation. A multiple-choice quiz is provided based on the content. Retakes are available for the test. After evaluating the program, course participants will be provided with an opportunity to claim hours of participation and print an official CME certificate.
