Diane Powers, MA, MBA
Diane has over 25 years’ experience managing a wide range of public health and health services research, evaluation, and implementation projects and programs. Between 2004 and 2015 she co-founded and managed the AIMS Center, stepping down as Associate Director in November 2015. She served for three years as the UW Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Associate Director for Research. In late 2018, she returned to the AIMS Center to lead the Center’s research and evaluation activities. Prior to joining the University of Washington, Diane managed a large research program focused on diverse behavioral interventions for cancer prevention at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Diane is trained as a behavioral health provider and delivered mental health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings for over eight years. She received her bachelor's degree in Psychology and English Literature from Gonzaga University, a master’s degree in Psychology from Seattle University, and a master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Washington.
